YES! That is a new comic up there!
If you've been following NEDtCG for sometime you're probably aware of the general slow down in the production of the comic.
Waaaaay back sometime last year, we stumbled upon this truly awesome comic, BADASSMUTHAS. Something about this comic stood out from all the other thousands of web comics out there. The story, the art, all came together to create a world of mystery, action and overall coolness. Something, you'd think all web comics should do, but most don't. So we decided to propose the idea of doing some sort of cross over. Hence GUNMAN was created: A tale of two worlds colliding. A tale that chose to take a left turn down a dark path, inevitably forcing two comics to a grinding halt.
But we're not down for the count.

As the picture says, we will be adding the new feature, MINI COMICS, to the world of NEDtCG. A few are already in production and several more slated. The MINI COMICS explore other avenues and offshoots from the current webcomic chapters. Some of them star characters that we only began to introduce in previous episodes as others may seem totally unrealted, or are they...?
Also if you haven't wrapped your monitor around with this blue babe-- The time is nigh! for only 69 cents, she's not gonna stick around forever ;p

NEW COMIC!!! (for real this time)
Hope you like this one, seeing as I was the one keeping it from ya.
Sorry...
In relation to that, just wanted to let you guys know the general slowdown (if even there was one, hard to tell when I'm always chasing deadlines) as of late is not entirely my fault. This time. Sort of. Now I hate to make excuses but just wanted to explain. I actually had to take on some more time at work to keep up with living. Not that much mind you, just enough to make me lazier when I do get home. Also there's the looming 'next vacation' coming up in about a month, so preparations and whatenot.
But enough out of me!
Here's a guy who had this to say about duct tape... of the holy variety.
I thought he had made some great points about our tendency to overboard with colors and detail. But in the end I think we go too far because if we don't go to far, how will we know for sure when we've gotten far enough?*
<insert fart noise>
Anyhoo... Don't forget to drop by the forum and drop us a line, spill the beans, shoot the breeze, y'know, all them good stuffs.

In WEBCOMIC NEWS: GUNMAN 19 is in the works, and should be ready soon. Go MORE ICE MONSTERS!!!! Hope you guys have been enjoying Toadie's 2nd War Story, and if you're not (we'll then your probably not reading this...so never mind), it's only got a few more pages until the shocking conclusion.
Or, maybe the conclusion won't be so shocking. Maybe you were expecting it since the moment Toadie began telling the story...hm....? either way, you can discuss your theroies here.
In other news, a little whiles back Omer and I pulled a job for Woody over at GUCOMICS.com. We were commissioned to do 2 posters : Night Of The Living Ted and It's Alive! Probably one of the coolest comissions we've done, but don't take our word for it and check them out yoursleves.
But first don't forget to order your copy of O:PhX : The Hangover of Doom. It's got all your favorite characters of the webcomic and introduces a few brand new stars. Thank the Gods holidays are over, no doubt. Maybe now we can get the rhythm back up in this mother.
Speaking of mothers, Mr. Ryan is hauling butt. I had the pleasure of a preview to the next installment in its nascent stage. Looks freakin awesome.

Wow, it's been a while since i posted something huh?
Well a lot's been goin on lately what with the holidays and all. Got to spend some time in the snow up in Minnesota which was pretty cool (no pun intended).
Anyhoo, the next installment of gunman is progressing nicely, in spite of time constraints. Hopefully I'll get the inks finished soon and hand it over to Oren so he can make 'some magic happen'.
Thats uh... thats pretty much it, man.
In case you missed it, by the way, you can see older news posts by clicking on the handy little link at the bottom of the front page, so you can relax and maybe even go cliffwatching.

Second Part of GUNMAN #15 is up!
So far we got you guys on a few cliffs, and perhaps now is a good time to recap, as things are about to get interesting.
Cliff 1: The damn soul eater heads....what is going on with them...?
Cliff 2: What is going down with Sid? and Why does he want the heads?
Cliff 3: Who is the lone gunman?
Cliff 4: Ryder Vs Ned....What's her deal?
Cliff 5: What the hell is going on in the second war?
Cliff 6: (Latest development) AKA Lucy's "new shit" development. What has come to light?
Cliff 7: And of course....who is going to win the ULTIMATE GUNMAN TRIALS ???
That's a lot of cliffs....We hope you have extra parachutes because we're about to start jumping.

Man, it's hard finding eggnog around these parts. Even without the magical nog, the holiday recovery is going well. Hope all y'all's holidays have been warm and refreshing.New comic is in production and should be ready soon. For the interim, a new *special* vote incentive. A distant look into the possible future of GUNMAN. I wouldn't call it a spoiler, more like a 'teaser'.

Been quite a week so far and the holidays draw ever nearer.
14 is finally finished. Now hopefully you guys are all asking...who is they???!
or maybe you know, or have an idea....
As for 15, here's a sneak peak.
In other news, I've had the privilege to work with Daniel Pevar on a ZUDA comics submission. I'm wrapping up the art in the next few days, and if all goes well I'll be spilling a lot more beans on the subject. ZUDA has a very stiff upper lip when it comes to promoting a comic prior to acceptance to their great competition, so I can't say much now...
But this all definately begs to question: With NEDtCG and crew all up and ons in a big competition, and Daniel and myself in a big competition, does life imitate art, or does art imitate life?

Anyhoo, the completion of the current page should be up soon, and coming up are some awesome scenes that I can't wait to see completed.

Ok I got nothing.
As the big title says, page 11 of Gunman is coming along nicely. In fact, I'll go out and say it, #12 is looking not too shabby either. Things are about to pick up here, so stay tuned!
We've also put a new vote incentive on. So go ahead! check it out. This guy's still in the works, but I feel very close to nailing it. If you want, lemme know what you think on the forums!
Mr Dave Ryan, of Badassmuthas fame, and banana notoriety, is apparently hunting for an artist to help out. Which I think is a good move, having someone to bounce ideas off makes the whole thing way more dynamic and fun.
But I ramble.

Here's a sneak peak at one of the questions we will be answering:
Whats the deal with Ned's mask?Whenever
a Demon is bound by a contract to a certain task, that bind is
expressed by an artifact of power. Usually, an article of clothing,
armor, or weapon that the demon then carries on their person at all
times. The artifact cannot be removed until the task the Demon was
bound to is complete.
Ned's mask is such an artifact.

Of course, I'm speaking about the spelling mistakes in the comic. There is no excuse. While I would love to say it was all Oren's fault (which it is, consequentially) I could have been better about fixing them.
So that's it. From here on out, I give you my word of honor, there will be no more spelling mistakes in Ned The Chainsaw Guy comics. Grammar maybe, but that comes with the territory.

The late great George Carlin, describes a "near miss" as "When two planes almost collide, they call it a near miss. It's a near hit. A collision is a near miss."We're going for the more common interpretation of the phrase: almost making it.
The comic should be up shortly. One of the panels is proving quite difficult to get down and has gone through too many revisions already. Omer is hammering out the final version as we speak and the comic should be up later today.

Greetings from faraway lands, my little pumpkin goblins!How are you?
I am fine.
But in all seriousness, just wanted to check in and make sure you guys all know I'm still alive too, and have not left the blond wonder (aka Oren) to fend for himself in this harsh, unforgiving, often hostile cosmos.
Ok maybe I did, but just a little.
I'll be back to civilization in no time (re: a week) and you can expect a redoubling of efforts. Mainly because I intend to switch out my crusty old lappy for a shiney (literally, it has pretty lights on it!) new desktop. Which will hopefully cut down on production time by not overheating and shutting down every 15-20 minutes.
Let me tell ya folks, that gets old.

Unfortunately, the server issues have again come back to bite us. So we're taking drastic measures to remedy the situation.
The forums seem to be impervious to the server attacks, and chock full of sneak peaks, leaks, as well as we answer questions, such as, "I'm curious. We all know Ned likes to drink. But how does he drink with his mask on?", or closer looks at tattoos.
And in comic news, a new vote incentive for GUNMAN 6 is up. We're gunning to have it up by Monday. It's a page and a half update, so it's taking a bit more time than the usual ones.

Clarifications are in order.While I will not deny that I am the sole responsible party for hte lateness of the comic du jour, I felt a short explanation was in order...
Indeed, Spore has been taking up alot of my time. But the real issue here is I don't have much time to begin with :(
See, I've been getting ready for a vacation back in the homeland which starts next week, and as a result I had to take some extra days at work. Combine that with the fact I'm trying to get back into school, and have moved in with my significant other this month, and have had no les than 6 different people come visit from out of town, you're left with very little spare time...
So, once again I apologize. But we will have 5 up before the weekend is done.

The comic will be a little late this week :(For the weekly forcast, We're looking at Thursday with a partial maybe, followed by anticipation and high humidity leading into friday which should start out rather gloomy, but pick up later on in the day with a 90% chance of an update followed by an awesome saturday with clear skies and GUNMAN 5.
Most of the latesness is due to Omer's new lifestyle choice, among other crazy shenanagins afoot as of late.

The Outer Rings is finally finished. I feel this is a good place to take a little moment to recap what has been going on so far. Give you our perspective on things. When this comic first started out, Omer and I really wanted to see just how far we could go with this thing. Since then we have been really trying to jam into the comic as much as we can fit in terms of art and comic structure and in parallel trying to bring to it a story that also follows just the same ideals. Sometimes it does get a bit crazy. The story and art has introduced a crazy world of demons hunting little girls, to strippers and intrigue, and now shadowy councils of power and corruption. While ending with secret dark quest destined for doom. We hope you all have been entertained with the last two stories, When Ned Met Ryder, and The Outer Rings, and we got a ton more of surprises waiting to be revealed in GUNMAN.Our first sneak peak is some concept work we've been working on for on of the newest characters to be introduced in the story. Click on the VOTE button to see various stages of the development. There are several of these spanning in the next two weeks, so make sure to check back every once in a while ;)

Fret not! We haven't disappeared!The new site has been taking more than anticipated but it's looking sweet and is almost ready for upload. Just got a few more things to finish and we hope to have it up Sunday, or at the latest Monday. So if you do check out the site and it's not there, it's because the new site is going online :)
It's gonna have a few cool new things along with quite the face lift. One of the biggest things I think that will stand out from the new site design is when you navigate to view the comic. We have gotten a lot of feedback on a few things, mostly the ads, so we've taken all that into consideration and have fixed it. Also the curahazy rollovers are gonna definitely be happening. I had my doubts on those things, but in the end, they proved their merit--Or at least we hope so. So thanks to everybody who has been helping get the site ready and we're totally stoked to have it up an online for all you guys out there in internet land.
As for the late update with the outer rings (Issue 7). Since we're already late with this, and we want to make it a special one, I've been putting some extra time in getting all the colors just right. It's got quite the unveiling (dundundun...) in this one so we really want to make it shine, or to put it more correctly, make sure the dripping blood has the right kinda shine ;p
And more in comic news as Omer said, after this we will be taking a short hiatus before GUNMAN starts so we will be able to have a little buffer of comics to ensure that we DO make future deadlines. We have some interesting surprises in store for GUNMAN, which we will be leaking as the time draws near, but for now, Let me just say, it's totally gunna be badass.
But while your waiting for the next comic, go check out the forums for some secret origin sneak peaks, or read the about section, yes I know you have been putting it off, there is a TON of words there, but you can do it. Really.

Anyways, it looks like things might actually be settling down for me here, which is good news for you true believers, on account of if I don't have to spend all my time worrying about rent and food, I might find some time to finagle some "art" into my schedule.
So yes, I have taken the ultimate sacrifice for you guys. I am now officially an office drone.

Well well, the Shroom Council unveiled. Very exciting!Hope you guys are diggin all the stuff we're dishin out here :)
As for the sporadic update schedule lately, things are still a sort of a roller coaster around here, what with me going on a long weekend for the 4th up in Minnesota (Go Bears!) and OrenK back in the homeland for the month we're making comics happen 3rd gen. Internets are awesome like that.
Anyways, we're about to wrap up Outer Ring with one more update left to go, at which point, we're going to take a short hiatus. We got a bunch of stuff we want to implement, and we want to be sure we do it right so we'll take a time out from chasing the deadline for a couple of weeks (hopefully no more than two) and come back with a bang (for those of you following, a brand new design for the website for starts...).
But fret not, we'll have some more extras and cool stuff to keep yer whistles nice and whet.

Well this one took some doing but I hope it was worth the wait. This one's areal whopper, our first flashback scene to date as well as we introduce some of the events of the Second War which you guys can check out all about that in here.In other news, THE BIG BOOK OF ZOMBIES : The Lurking Hunger is going strong. As of now the list of contributing artists is roughly 40 and pulling strong. It's an art anthology collecting artwork devoted to zombies and their undead carnal hunger that makes them such attractable company. So to all you zombie artists out there, you can find more about the BIG BOOK OF ZOMBIES in the forum.

Once again its THAT time of the week!I realise that since we declared Wednesday as the official update 'day' we've been remiss in our commitment. Probably because I'm a huge slob who refuses to work when (re: if) there's a raid.
That said, we were thinking that if we seem to be updating on Fridays and or Saturdays when the due time is Wednesday, maybe if we keep telling ourselves the due day is Wednesday we can tell everyone else (you) the due date is Fridy and *gasp* be on time!
So... With that in mind we set off on the production of this week's installment. The freak heat wave that plagued Brooklyn this week was definetly no help. My computer started chain crashing (poor thing) so I had to relocate myself to a more air conditioned venue. The bad news is that I had forgotten my Wacom pen so I lost a day and a half of work time.
Yes, I'm that stupid.
But the inks are just about done, and we will hopefully have the colored version up sometime over hte weekend.
Which brings me to my next (and last) point -
We need a flatter. We need one pretty bad, because flat coloring the pages has become a clinch that puts a hamper on our whole operation. So if you know a flatter, or are a flatter, or want to become a flatter but unsure of what a flatter really is drop me a line (my email address can be found here.

Another week has gone by... And I've been slow on the uptake letting you guys know we've officially started on the next awesome story arc for Ned, "The Outer Ring" (oooh, ominous!).This will (hopefully) bring some answers to the burning questions left behind by "When Ned Met Ryder", as well as set the stage for the totally awesome story arc to follow, "Gunman"!
Other than that, the forum's been house to many an interesting discussion, from preferred method of caffeine intake to Ned's secret origins (oooh, ahhh)

Well I should have known better than to try and commit to anything this day and age :PSo this is where I go and apologize for the lateness of the current comic... The truth is that I have no valid excuse for this (and to make matters worse, I can't even blame Oren). But I will say that the wait is definetly worth it, we went for a bigger piece to mark the end of "When Ned met Ryder" and got a bit caried away...
Fret not though! The piece is about 30% colored (we split the work so that Oren could go ahead and color some of the piece.) and the rest will be flatted today, and colored tommorow at the latest.
And to whet your appetite a bit more, here's a crop of the inks in progress... A word of warning though, this is somewhat of a spoiler so only click if you absolutely cant wait ;P

Well, the ball is in my court right now to color up this bad boy. Its a page I've been waiting to do for a while...Unfortunately I'm not in the court :(
But I should get some time tonight to start coloring it. Leave it to us to set a deadline and miss the first date! Anyway, I'll use this opportunity to thank all you guys for reading our comic up until now and hope you have been enjoying it.
We've been a little slow with getting this yarn wrapped up, and we're both itching to tackle the next two sins on the list. I'll take this opportunity to spill some beans about where we see the story going -- If you haven't guessed it -- yeah, this one's about lust. Like all of the seven sins, lust, hits you like a freight train, abrupt and brutal, or it delicately rolls down the tongue, like a fine Chardonnay, slowly introducing to the palette all the subtleties and complexities in such a simple thing. Sometimes there are no consequences for indulgence, but sometimes there are....
Anyways the next update took Omer like 6hrs just to flat...So the coloring is gonna be a marathon on this one! No sleep fer me :( But tons of coffee!
In O:PhX News, we've been getting ready for the full release of Issue #0, The Hangover of Doom. For this awesome event we've been polishing up some of the artwork in the issue as well as giving the cover the heat it needed. May 21st is the final day to order a copy of the Limited Edition Signed print run, so get your copy while supplies last.
Also if you like/or hate the comic let us know in our forums, and don't forget to obsessively click the vote button :)

Well it is Tuesday today, and the comic is a little behind schedule. It's been stuck over with Omer for a few days now, so will see if the flats are gonna be ready today...if so, there is a chance we may make it for Wednesday -- So keep your finger's crossed. It's the second to last issue of 'When Ned Met Ryder' so we're excited about that. Only one more to go with this arc and then straight on to the next one. We got some new twists and turns all brewed up we're pretty jazzed to start serving on them. I'm warning you now, the opening scene is gonna be little bit of crazy, filled with high flying action and some well needed backstory ;) so keep your eyes peeled.In other comic news, The Geeks of Doom wrote a review on O:PhX Issue #0 the Hangover of Doom, so check it here :)

Eighteenth'd!Latest issue of Ned's adventure is up, as well as some new stuff over on Juliet's Whiteboard. Intriguing developements all around!
Also, commitments. They're hard, but we have to make them. So from now on, you can count on Wednesday for your weekly Ned dosage.
WE'll be building up more of a buffer now with things settling in, and we're really going to work at maintaining the Wednesday upload.
So there you have it, commitment.

Ah, finally things are settling down around the 'ol O-Enterprises headquarters...So with the dust clearing from the post-con crazyness, we put up the books left over from the Con for sale. The book itself is going to be available for print on demand around may, but till then we still have supplies that will be signed by us personally before shipping off :)

Update tiiiiime!No comic yet (workin on it) but in order to slake the thirst for more stuff, we've started up Lieutenant Juliet's page. It's got his "Whiteboard" which will keep things simplified (or not?) and his account of the ongoing investigation into the Sid case.

As you can tell we've been 'slacking' off on the webcomic for a little whiles...but I got another page from O:PhX up so at least we're putting something out :P Page nine should be following in the next
few days, and that's the last of the FREE previews.We've been getting a few requests for desktops, and I found the time to get two ready. They're at 1024 x 768, but I should have more sizes ready soon....

Howdy everybody. Page seven of O:PhX is up and I upped the res on the files, so for all of yous squinting to read the words, SQUINT NO MORE! With the New York Comic Con drawing ever closer tension and excitement are riding high. We're so jazzed about this issue we had to add in two more pages! If you want to make sure you can get you hands on the debut issue of Ned The Chainsaw Guy in all the awesome full color action, make sure to pre-order your copy before they run out. We're doing a tiny small print run, so who knows how long they'll last ;p

So it looks like the bulk of the new website is up and running, though some of Oren's post is downright lies inaccurate (like the forum, it's not ready yet. Soon though).But the real exciting news is the latest installment of When Ned Met Ryder is finally up. It's been collecting dust on our respective desktops for about a week now waiting on the shiney new stuff to get all organized. Why exciting you ask? Well that's simple; It features Lucy, the last Valkyrie ! Who has got to be my favoritest ever. Ok maybe second favoritest.
At any rate though, keep her eye on her, she's a wily one.
I'll be managing the forums soon enough, so be sure to come back and check up on em, I'll make a note here as soon as they go live :)

Well the new site is finally up and running! We've been shaking things up over here and if you've been here before you'll notice that we've added a whole bunch of new things. We have a brand new forum starting up over here so post your comments, concerns and theories as to where Omer and I are taking this rip roaring yarn (but don't forget to check out all my awesome typos at ByNight)
And probably the biggest new edition is we're finally offering a sneak peak at the first few pages of O:PhX issue ZERO Which we're gonna be launching the at the NYC Comic Con in about 6 weeks.
In web comic news the latest issue is finally up, and be prepared as we will be wrapping up When Ned Met Ryder by the NYC Comic Con ;p
